Following a wave of large data breaches and increased Congressional pressure, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is taking a closer look at cybersecurity disclosure requirements.
With the SEC’s increasing focus on cybersecurity, companies should reassess their compliance with the 2011 disclosure guidance, and determine whether disclosure of the potential risks associated with an actual or future cyberattack is required.
